I was like any other learner fresh out of high school who aspired to study music but lacked formal training or understanding of the intellectual aspect of music. I learned about Rhythms via a casual phone discussion, only to discover how lovely it would be to stay close to home and study here. That was without a doubt one of the best decisions I had made. My musicianship was clearly improving as I spent all of my time at Rhythms, learning from the faculty I could find, but what made Rhythms so memorable for me was the comfort and encouragement I received from the Chairman and teachers. The way the course was designed made me feel as if it was tailored specifically for me, and my experience in the jamming sessions, and shows pushed me to keep pushing myself. It’s the ideal place to get out of your comfort zone while yet being surrounded by it! Further, Rhythms allowed me to study from some of top-musicians and instructors in the industry. Their teaching and guidance has provided me with a lot to strive for. Whatever they taught me has proven to be invaluable in my musical career to this day.

While at Rhythms, I was exposed to some fantastic music and musicians. I was able to learn the music I was listening to and perform in front of greater audience in a celebrating setting. I took harmony and ear Training as my special subject of interest which really enhanced my overall musicality and the ability to efficiently communicate with other musicians in the industry. The sessions were deliberately designed to teach us things that we could perhaps learn ourselves.... Sessions regarding the art of listening and the occasional ensemble were few of the topics that I found very interesting. I learnt a lot about composition and theory, which I now use in all of my song-writing, composing, and performing. For all those who wish to pursue career in music, I feel Rhythms is Mecca that can meet aspirant’s needs.
