Renowned hindustani vocalist, sarangi artiste and tabla player. Born into a family of Kirana gharana musicians, Faiyazji started sarangi and vocal practice started under his father Ustad Abdul Quadar Khan. At the age of 6, he started tabla lessons under Pt. Basavaraj Bendigeri. Today, Faiyazji is amongst the few Musicians in India who has the distinction of rendering khayal music and playing sarangi - an ancient and vibrant instrument. He was fortunate to learn sarangi from maestro Padmavibhushan Pt. Ram Narayan. He has travelled across the globe and performed at various prestigious venues. He has served as the president of Sangeet Natak Academy during the tenure 2017 – 19. He is the recipient of the prestigious Karnataka Rajyotsava award.
